Why does it take a while to load?
Video files can be pretty big and may take a little while to download to your computer. Many factors effect the time it takes, such as:

* Your broadband connection speed
* How busy your broadband connection is while you're watching
* The speed of your computer
* The speed of your CDrom drive

Video files are generally quite large in filesize and take time to download to your computer. Streaming video uses a process called "Buffering" to ease this process (see below) but there is still a slight delay depending on your connection speed and the bandwidth dedicated to the video stream you're watching.

Why do some channels work and others don't?
Most of the channels are broadcast in Windows Media format, but others are available in QuickTime and RealPlayer format too. If you do not have these players installed on your computer, the channels will be unavailable to you. Your CD-rom will try to detect whether you have the players installed or not and give you the option of downloading and installing any you are missing.
Some channels operate just like regular TV channels, and will only broadcast at certain times of the day. Be patient, and your CD-rom will advise you as to whether or not a channel is currently broadcasting.

Why does the sound vary from channel to channel?
The sound quality of a television channel is the responsibility of the broadcaster and is beyond our control. As part of the streaming process, the quality of video clips are reduced to make them download quicker. Sound is usually the first to suffer due to this process.
Your CD-rom will play back the video at the quality it is received.

Why does the channel keep stopping?
Streaming video uses a process called "Buffering" to download a small chunk of video to your computer, and allow you to watch that chunk while the next chunk downloads. The aim of video streaming is that the process is completely seamless, and that each chunk is finished downloading before you've finished watching the last.
However, things don't always go according to plan and you'll finish watching the first chunk before the next is buffered. This will cause a slight delay or pause while the download catches up. Video streaming is the responsibility of the broadcaster, and is beyond our control.
